  • About me – My enjoyment of running started from long distance walking and I have been a member of the LDWA since 1984. I now run rather than walk the LDWA organised challenge events, which are usually 26 miles or more of glorious country trail running. I also enjoy fell walking and head for the Lake District as often as I can, including taking part in a two day mountain marathon each summer. Work wise I have recently reinvented myself as a gardener and I am currently studying horticulture with the Royal Horticultural Society

  • What I like about ORR – The friendliness of the membership and Sunday runs with HEROS

  • Memorable Experience – Together with Dave King, Dave Lewis and Ray Bennett completing three marathons in three consecutive days in 2006; Beachy Head, Snowdonia and Dublin. It was a great road trip with great camaraderie and several ORR joined us in Dublin for the finale.

  • ‘Best’ result – 1993 Hastings Half Marathon 01:28:34
